Welcome to Leedstown United FC - Home to Leopards, Lions, Cougars, Panthers, Jaguars & Our new development teams Lynx ! - also our adults teams The Wildcats (Ladies) and Codgers (Mens)
Leedstown FC was founded in 2005. There were a few core players and committee members that came from a previous club to form our own. Bill Reid, our first coach came up with the idea. We then took Terry Myatt on board and The Lions and Tigers were born, these were both 7 a side teams. Eventually those two teams formed one big team known at United or Thunder. Late 2007 saw us form a new team The Tigers (U13's), and our numbers grew quickly and we formed The Leopards (U12's). The club went from strength to strength, and in 2009 our two U11's teams, The Lions and The Cougars entered the league. Last year our Panthers (U10's) debuted in the Kernow League as will our Pumas (U9's) will September 2012, and the future looks golden too, with The Jaguars (U8's) following on to create our youngest team ! The signs are there that our next U7's team is just round the corner too - Leedstown Utd really has become one of the leading producers of the stars of the future !!!
Our core value is that we put the children in our club first. Its not about winning although its a bonus if we do. Every child that wants to play football is allowed to play no matter their ability, its all about opportunity. Leedstown FC is not a Win At All Costs club, just a nice friendly well run place for children to enjoy and express themselves. In May 2010, we were granted FA Charter Standard Club status. In the future LUFC wishes to own its own ground and Clubhouse - watch this space !!!
